Maverick Viñales begins a new chapter in his MotoGP career tomorrow with KTM Tech3, following three and a half seasons of ups and downs with Aprilia.

The Spaniard expects to find a bike more compatible with his riding style, as he explained: ‘I think it’s a beautiful challenge. Obviously, it will not be easy, it’s a very different bike. But I think it’s much more suitable to my riding style. This will be a plus’.

That said, Viñales is aware that a lot of work lies ahead, as he will need to get familiar with the KTM RC16, knowing improvements are essential to compete at the top:

– In any case, obviously there is a lot of work to do, I’ve never tried the bike, so I cannot say nothing. But looking at the results, obviously if you want to battle against who we know you need to battle, you need to improve.
