With Augusto Fernández departing MotoGP at the end of this season, his #37 became available – but not for long, as it already has a new owner.

Pedro Acosta had used the #37 for much of his career but had to switch to #31 when he moved to the premier class this year, as the number was already taken.

Now that it’s available again, the new Red Bull KTM rider wasted no time in reclaiming his #37 – already wearing it during Tuesday’s test in Barcelona.

In Moto2, Acosta also had to give up the #37 to Fernández in 2022, only to reclaim it when his now-former teammate was promoted to MotoGP in 2023.
