The Malaysian GP was marked by the victory achieved by Celestino Vietti in Moto2, which arrived even more categorically after the Italian returned from injury.

Vietti returned to the category after breaking his left shoulder at the Australian GP, and despite the great pain he admitted to feeling, he led every lap at Sepang, which made him naturally proud: ‘I did not expect this result and it was a tough weekend for the pain and for many things. We worked hard with the physio and the team gave me a great bike from the first session’.

The Italian also recalled that the current season has been complicated and has many challenges: ‘We qualified well and then moved on. 2024 wasn’t the easiest year for us, but the good feeling is there.’

He concluded: ‘I’m happy for me and for the team. We deserved this but we must also think of the people in Valencia and I hope things can be better there soon’.
