The MX2 was in Loket, in the Czech Republic, this weekend for another round of the world championship, and there were two different winners in each of the heats, Lucas Coenen and Kay de Wolf. The Dutch player ended up being the strongest overall to win overall and thus distance himself, by two points, from his opponent in the overall standings.
The number 96 of Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing was fastest in the first race, which ended with a gap of almost 10s over second, Simon Laengenfelder (Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing), while de Wolf was third, finishing the race with more than 13s behind his teammate.
In good shape and within the top five were Mikkel Haarup (Monster Energy Triumph Racing) and Liam Everts (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) respectively.
For the second race of the day in the category, de Wolf managed to improve his record and took victory, his eighth this year, with Laengelfer again in second, ahead of Everts this time.
Coenen was fourth and Haarup lost one place to fifth.
In the GP accounts, victory smiled at Wolf with 45 points, one more than Laengelfder, and two more than Coenen. And it is precisely Wolf who leads the championship with 626 points, with Coenen in second with 580, 20 more than Laengenfelder.
