The new visual identity of MotoGP was officially unveiled this Sunday. From the logo to the typography, the entire visual design has been revamped for 2025, marking the beginning of a new era.

The slogan is also new, now reading «Faster, Forward, Fearless», as MotoGP steps into what is being called «The MotoGP of Tomorrow».

In addition to the premier class, the same new branding has been applied to Moto2, Moto3, MotoE, and even MotoGP’s official eSports championship. Everything changes visually.

This radical transformation coincides with the expected acquisition of Dorna by Liberty Media. Take a look at the images of MotoGP’s new visual identity, as well as its explanation, through videos and images.

After images appeared in European patent authorities, the new visual identity and logos of the MotoGP World Championship were officially unveiled this Sunday.

The awards gala at the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya in Barcelona marked the moment of unveiling what will now be the image of the motorcycle racing World Championships moving forward.

This change comes as the acquisition of Dorna by Liberty Media is also underway. The new logo was designed by the Pentagram agency. The visual identity, including the typography, was also altered under the motto «The MotoGP of Tomorrow».

Despite 75 years of history, this is only the third time the MotoGP logo has undergone a radical change. Until 2001, the foundation was the acronym FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme), and the image changed with the introduction of the MotoGP era in 2002 — undergoing minor adjustments in 2007.

This Sunday, MotoGP is set to reveal its new visual identity. However, ahead of the official unveiling during the awards ceremony, the potential new logo may have already been leaked.

Recent trademark filings at the European Union Intellectual Property Office show logos for MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3, and MotoE registered in recent days by the legal representative Leggroup – also linked to documentation for the current logos.

While only one logo has been registered for the other categories, MotoGP has two submitted designs, one noticeably simpler than the other, as seen in the main image of this article.

Later today, Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke will officially present the new MotoGP logo and visual identity, designed by the Pentagram agency, during the awards gala at the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya in Barcelona, scheduled for 19:30 (CET).

Esteve Rabat Bergada, or Tito Rabat as he is known in motorcycling, is now 35 years old and has accumulated a lot of experience in various categories of the world. He recently spoke to Motosan and made some revelations about his career, and there are some surprises among his revelations.

The rider, who is currently racing in the World Superbike Championship, was in MotoGP for five years, before that another half decade in Moto2 and also six in the old 125cc, and he has seen the evolution of the different categories like few others in activity, he also knows MotoE, where he spent a year, as well as other categories.

Given his vast experience, the Spaniard was asked which category he would have liked to have been in, if he had to choose just one, and Rabat replied: ‘I think all the categories have their purpose and are beautiful, but the most beautiful thing is when you have a good bike and you can be fighting to win, so I’d stick with Moto2. I also really liked it when I had a private bike, we did something in MotoGP with a Ducati, before I hurt my leg. Now we’re in Superbikes, I think I can show my potential here, I’m fighting to get a seat and a bike as well as possible’.

Happy with the current situation, the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing rider explained that he is enjoying the experience and evolving: ‘I’m learning and I’m happy to take some points in the races and to see that I’m getting closer to the riders at the front who already have a name and a better bike than you, and you’re there enjoying it, which you can also do if you know how it works and you pass everyone, because in the end it’s difficult to be at the back too and it costs the same as being at the front’.

However, in the opposite direction, and regarding the category he wouldn’t want to return to, Rabat had a blunt answer with a little “hint” in the middle:

– MotoE was the one I liked least, not because of the bike or because it’s electric, but because of the timings it has: 10 minutes in the morning and 10 in the afternoon. At the end of the day you don’t burn anything, you’re burnt out inside from not being able to burn energy and sitting there all day doing nothing. I need more action, the category is fine, but the timetable is fatal.

Here is the first champion of the season! David Alonso clinched the Moto3 title this Sunday with a victory at the Japanese GP in Motegi. In doing so, he also equaled the record for most wins in a single season since the class was created in 2012, becoming the first Colombian world champion and now the rider with the most victories in the category.

Good start by Iván Ortolá (MT Helmets-MSi/KTM) to take the lead ahead of Alonso (CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar), with Ángel Piqueras (Leopard Racing/Honda) and Daniel Holgado (Red Bull GasGas Tech3) in fourth after a strong start. The Spaniard continued to recover and finished the first lap in second place.

At the start of the second lap, Alonso lost a position to Adrián Fernández (Leopard Racing/Honda) but quickly regained it. With Holgado ahead of him, the Colombian couldn’t yet celebrate the title this Sunday, although it seemed only a matter of time.

A new leader emerged on the third lap when Fernández made an impressive double overtake on Holgado and Ortolá. Meanwhile, Alonso lost more positions and was seventh by the fourth lap.

With ten laps to go, Fernández continued to lead, Ortolá was second, Piqueras third, and Holgado fourth. Alonso was in sixth and needed to be third to claim the championship this Sunday.

In the final ten laps, the Colombian began to recover positions. On the tenth lap, he briefly held third place, but Holgado quickly overtook him again. A lap later, Alonso managed to make the pass and hold the position, chasing down Ortolá and Fernández.

With five laps remaining, Piqueras crashed at turn ten, falling out of contention. Alonso moved up to second, bringing the title closer, along with the possibility of winning the race. Fernández made a mistake at turn three with four laps to go, allowing Alonso to take the lead, but the Spaniard quickly reclaimed it.

However, on lap 15, everything changed as Alonso secured the lead for good. Now, it was up to Ortolá and Holgado to try to stop this result, which would crown the dominant rider of the championship.

While Alonso maintained a calm lead, Ortolá and Fernández battled for second place. Alonso’s task became easier on the penultimate lap when Ortolá crashed at turn ten. Fernández moved up to second, with Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP) taking third, ahead of Holgado.

In the end, Alonso held firm to take the victory and the title. Veijer overtook Fernández to finish second, Holgado finished third, and José Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) completed the top five.

The MotoE season concluded with an exciting final race in Misano for the San Marino GP. Óscar Gutiérrez was the winner after a breathtaking battle until the last lap.

Mattia Casadei and Eric Granado (LCR E-Team) made a strong start taking the first two positions ahead of Gutiérrez (Axxis-MSi). Héctor Garzó (Dynavolt Intact GP), who had secured the championship title earlier in the day, was in ninth place at the beginning of the second race.

In the second lap, the top three riders gained some margin over fourth-place Kevin Zannoni (Openbank Aspar), while continuing to battle among themselves. However, by the fourth lap, Zannoni closed the gap significantly, with a large group of riders following closely behind.

The final laps of the season were intense. Midway through the race, Gutiérrez overtook Granado to move into second place, and one lap later, he passed Casadei to take the lead. Casadei responded on the penultimate lap, regaining the lead after Gutiérrez made a mistake.

But Gutiérrez didn’t give up and, on the final lap, he overtook once more to reclaim first place. From that point on, Gutiérrez maintained his lead and secured victory, finishing ahead of Casadei and Granado in one of the season’s most thrilling battles. Jordi Torres (Openbank Aspar) finished fourth, ahead of Zannoni, while Garzó completed his title-winning season with a seventh-place finish. As a result, he ended the championship with 15 more points than the runner-up, Casadei.

Héctor Garzó is the new MotoE World Champion! With one race to go, the Spaniard from Dynavolt Intact GP MotoE has just been crowned champion in Misano after finishing fourth in the race. Mattia Casadei gave his all but had no arguments to counter the opponent, who was promoted to fourth position – the minimum he needed – after the crash of race leader Kevin Zannoni.

With one race to go in the championship, the category title could already be sealed today, in race 1, in Misano. Mattia Casadei started from pole position and kept alive the hopes of becoming champion, but all eyes were on Garzó, who started from the third row, after being eighth in qualifying: fourth place was enough to guarantee the title.

And the pole sitter had a great start and made the most of the starting position, Kevin Zannoni was second and Eric Granado third. Massimo Rocoli crashed at the beginning of the second lap.

Alessandro Zaccone was third but the highlight was Zannoni who, with six laps to go, moved to the front, and Casadei, who had the hope of still fighting for the title was further back and Garzó on the rise, in fifth.

Zannoni was on a roll and set the fastest lap of the race, in 1:40.107s, while Casadei was giving his all but it didn’t depend only on him. Garzó was 1.1s behind the leader… but he didn’t need to make up so much time to seal the title, “just” from fourth place.

With two laps to go Zannoni crashed and with that Garzó was promoted to fourth place, although Casadei was now in the lead!

On the last lap Garzó received a warning for exceeding track limits and Casadei was leading. Everything was still up for grabs! Garzó was battling with Granado for the podium positions but was willing to do anything, even though it wasn’t necessary for his title run.

The race ended shortly afterwards with Casadei winning but the highlight was Garzó, who was thus crowned champion!

Spinelli was the first leader in the Q2, ahead of Casadei (LCR E-Team), who moved to the top on his second attempt, with teammate Eric Granado following closely behind.

From there, the front positions remained unchanged, with Casadei claiming pole position by beating Granado by 0.067s. Jordi Torres (Openbank Aspar) secured third place, 0.098s off the pole. Garzó will start from eighth.
