Aldi Satya Mahendra is the new Supersport 300 World Champion, becoming the first Indonesian to secure a world speed title. His sixth-place finish in the second race at Jerez was enough to clinch the championship, and the race winner also made history—Julián García González gave Kove their first-ever victory.

As is common in the highly competitive WSSP300, the lead changed hands multiple times throughout the race, with González and David Salvador (MS Racing/Yamaha) frequently battling for the top spot. Antonio Torres (ProDina Kawasaki) also led briefly on the first lap.

Heading into the final lap, Salvador was in the lead and looked set to repeat his victory from the previous day. Mahendra (Team BrCorse/Yamaha) was in sixth place, while Loris Veneman (MTM Kawasaki) was running second. However, unless Veneman won the race, Mahendra’s title was not in jeopardy.

In an epic final-lap battle, González took the lead and narrowly defeated Torres by just 28 thousandths of a second to secure Kove’s first-ever win in the championship. Marc García, the other Kove rider, completed the podium in third, ahead of Salvador and Veneman. Mahendra crossed the line in sixth place, more than enough to celebrate his championship victory.

David Salvador won an exciting first race of the World Supersport 300 Championship in Jerez this Saturday. The title fight is not yet decided, but Aldi Satya Mahendra is on the verge of becoming champion.

As is usual in this category, the race saw a closely contested battle, with the top eight finishers separated by less than a second.

There were several lead changes, but Salvador (MS Racing/Yamaha) maintained supremacy. However, the Spaniard had to work hard until the end: he won for the first time in this category, with just three thousandths of a second ahead of Julián García González (KOVE Racing), in a battle decided almost with a photo finish.

Mahendra (Team BrCorse/Yamaha) managed what he needed to do, beating all the main rivals in the championship with a final third place, 0.549s off the top. The Indonesian reached the lowest step of the podium on the last lap, overtaking Carter Thompson (Fusport-RT Motorsport by SKM-Kawasaki), who finished in ninth place. If he finishes 12th or better, or if Veneman doesn’t win tomorrow, Mahendra will be the champion.

Loris Veneman (MTM Kawasaki) and Mirko Gaggi (Team BrCorse/Yamaha) rounded out the top five. It’s worth noting that Iñigo Iglesias Bravo (Fusport-RT Motorsport by SKM-Kawasaki), one of the title contenders, was forced to miss the race after being declared unfit following injuries sustained in a crash during the warm-up this morning.

The Superbike season comes to an end this weekend at the Circuito de Jerez Ángel Nieto. Everything is still to be decided across the four categories: Superbike, Supersport, Supersport 300, and the Women’s World Championship.

In the main category, WSBK, the title fight is between two riders. Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW) is very close to securing his second title, which he could clinch in the first race. However, Nicolò Bulega (Aruba.it Ducati) is 46 points behind and aims to put pressure on his rival until the end. Álvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Ducati), the 2022 and 2023 champion, has already secured the third spot in the final standings.

As for the WSSP, only two riders have a shot at the championship. Adrián Huertas (Aruba.it Ducati) leads by 45 points over Stefano Manzi (Pata Yamaha Ten Kate), meaning Huertas could afford to lose 20 points in the first race and still be crowned champion on Saturday.

The WSSP300 category promises to be more thrilling, with three title contenders: leader Aldi Satya Mahendra (Team BrCorse/Yamaha), Loris Veneman (MTM Kawasaki) 16 points behind, and Iñigo Iglesias Bravo (Fusport-RT Motorsport by SKM-Kawasaki), 32 points off the lead.

There are also three contenders in the inaugural Women’s World Championship (WorldWCR). Ana Carrasco (Evan Bros Yamaha Team) leads by 18 points over María Herrera (Klint Forward), while Sara Sánchez (511 Terra&Vita Racing Team) remains in the mix, 42 points behind the leader but still with a mathematical chance to win the title, with 50 points up for grabs.

With all four titles on the line, the Superbike round in Jerez promises thrilling races, celebrations for the winners, and heartbreak for the runners-up. Expect plenty of emotions, and follow all the action here on Motorcycle Sports. Below are the full schedules (CET time).

Loris Veneman secured pole position in the World Supersport 300 Championship at MotorLand Aragón this Friday. This is the third time this season that the rider will start from the front of the entire grid.

The Superpole took place yesterday at the circuit near Alcañiz and was marked by some minor crashes. After the first flying laps, Aldi Satya Mahendra (Team BrCorse/Yamaha) was in the lead until he was surpassed by Julio García González (KOVE Racing Team) about five minutes later.

With practically 20 minutes gone, Veneman (MTM Kawasaki) set the time that earned him pole position: 2m06.300s. The Dutch rider was also one of the competitors who fell during the session. Mahendra improved his time near the end, but the championship leader could only manage second, finishing 0.184s behind.

Galang Hendra Pratama (ProGP NitiRacing/Yamaha) took third place, while the top five was completed by Daniel Mogeda (Team#109 Retro Traffic Kawasaki) and García González, who will share the second row with Marc García (Marc García).

Without interruptions, the Superbike paddock arrives this weekend at MotorLand Aragón for the tenth round of the season. On track will be the World Championships of Superbike, Supersport, and Supersport 300.

In WSBK, Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW) will try to return to action. After the injury suffered in Magny-Cours, the championship leader will ride in the first free practice, after which his continuation will be evaluated. At this moment, Razgatlioglu is only 13 points ahead of Nicolò Bulega (Aruba.it Ducati), who took advantage of the rival’s absence at the Cremona round to close the gap.

Álvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Ducati) is third, 82 points behind. As usual, there are many other potential candidates for the top positions, such as Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team/Ducati), who won all three races last weekend, Alex Lowes (Kawasaki), Andrea Iannone (Team GoEleven/Ducati), among others.

Adrián Huertas (Aruba.it Ducati) is leading in the WSSP and, competing at home, will try to extend his current lead of 43 points over Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team/Ducati). Stefano Manzi (Pata Yamaha Ten Kate) returned to victory in the previous round and is third, exactly 50 points behind Huertas.

For WSSP300, it’s a return three weeks after the last round. Ald Satya Mahendra (Team BrCorse/Yamaha) continues to lead the championship, where anything can happen: Loris Veneman (MTM Kawasaki) is just 12 points behind, with Iñigo Iglesias Bravo (Fusport-RT Motorsport by SKM-Kawasaki) in third, 26 points back. A little further behind is the fourth-placed Jeffrey Buis (Freudenberg KTM Paligo Racing), 53 points adrift.

The round at MotorLand Aragón promises not only to be an interesting challenge for riders and teams but also to deliver strong emotions in the fight for the titles in all three categories. Here, you can check the complete schedule (in CET time).

In an impressive comeback, Jeffrey Buis was the winner of the second race of the World Supersport 300 Championship at Magny-Cours last Sunday. The rider started from tenth place but secured victory in a race that was interrupted by a red flag.

Unai Calatayud (Arco Sash MotoR University Team/Yamaha) had the best start to take the lead, but Aldi Satya Mahendra (Team BrCorse/Yamaha) quickly overtook him, though by turn five, it was already Daniel Mogeda (Team #109 Retro Traffic Kawasaki) in first place.

On the second lap, David Salvador (MS Racing/Yamaha) experienced a technical issue with his bike, which caused him to suffer a severe highside at turn five. The race had to be red-flagged due to track conditions. At the medical center, the rider was diagnosed with a fractured left elbow.

When the race restarted, there were seven laps to go. Mahendra made a good start, but coming from tenth on the grid, Buis (Freudenberg KTM-Paligo Racing) took the lead at turn five. The Dutchman was briefly overtaken by Kevin Sabatucci (Team Flembbo-PL Performances/Kawasaki) on the next lap but quickly regained the top position.

Iñigo Iglesias Bravo (Fusport-RT Motorsport by SKM-Kawasaki) also led in the fourth lap after the restart, while Buis dropped to fifth… before reclaiming the lead a lap later.

The final three laps were intense, with the outcome uncertain until the very end. Buis ultimately secured the victory, beating Galang Hendra Pratama (ProGP NitiRacing/Yamaha) by 0.546s. In a battle between brothers, the Indonesian rider edged out Mahendra for second place by just 0.002s.

Loris Veneman (MTM Kawasaki) and Marc García (Kove) completed the top five. Calatayud, who won the first race, only finished 15th. After this round, Mahendra leads the championship by 12 points over Veneman.

In challenging conditions and after an intense battle, Unai Calatayud secured his first-ever victory in the World Supersport 300 Championship on Saturday, winning the first race at Magny-Cours.

The pole position belonged to Aldi Satya Mahendra (Team BrCorse/Yamaha), who lost the lead to Jeffrey Buis (Freudenberg KTM-Paligo Racing) on the first lap but remained a constant contender for the podium spots.

Despite a strong start, Buis lost momentum during the race, only to recover in the final laps and regain the lead. However, a mistake on the last lap prevented him from securing a podium finish.

The final battle for the win came down to Calatayud (Arco Sash MotoR University Team/Yamaha) and Mahendra, with the Spanish rider edging out Mahendra by just 0.770s. The second-place finish marked a historic achievement for the Indonesian rider. To add to the celebration for Indonesia, Galang Hendra Pratama (ProGP NitiRacing/Yamaha) outpaced Buis to claim third place.

Humberto Maier (MS Racing/Yamaha) completed the top five. Meanwhile, Loris Veneman (MTM Kawasaki), who entered the race as the championship leader, suffered a crash on the first lap. Although he rejoined the race, he finished 16th, missing out on any points.
