Arón Canet was the fastest in the Moto2 classification and will therefore start from pole position tomorrow at the Barcelona Solidarity GP. The rider beat Manuel González by 0.146s.

After Alonso López, Senna Agius, Albert Arenas and Jaume Masiá secured a place in Q2, it remained to be seen who would take pole position for the Barcelona Solidarity GP, in the final stage of the Moto2 world championship.

The session began with a minor crash for Fermín Aldeguer, shortly before Jorge Navarro took the best time of the session with a lap time of 1:42.421s, ahead of Ai Ogura and Jake Dixon, as the fastest trio, and as such times would end up being cancelled.

In this way, the leader became López with a lap time of 1:43.511s, but Zonta VD Goorbergh had different ideas and took the lead (1:42.461s) after Navarro had now crashed to the ground.

After stopping in the garage and making final preparations, Arón Canet followed with a lap time of 1:42.003s.

Until the end, no one beat #44, which thus won pole position, and on the front row of the grid it would be joined by Manuel González and Goorbergh.
