The 19th round of the MXGP World Championship takes Tim Gajser and Team HRC to Shanghai, China, as the series approaches its thrilling climax. With Gajser currently 14 points ahead in the standings, six strong races here and in Spain in the final round could secure him his sixth world title, however, as always, the Slovenian will be looking for victory to finish the season in style.

This time, the action will take place on Sunday and Monday, giving the riders and all team members an extra day to prepare and adjust their machines for the challenges of what is expected to be a hot weekend in the Chinese region.

The races are also scheduled for an hour earlier (local time) than usual, as is typical for events outside of Europe. However, none of these schedule changes should affect the riders who will certainly give their best.

Tim Gajser, the current championship leader, thus previewed the next round of the world championship in the following category:

– I have good memories from China in 2019, as this is where I received the trophy after winning the MXGP Championship that year. I guess the track will be different this time around, but they did a good job with everything last time so I’m interested to see what they come up with for the weekend. Well actually, it is Sunday-Monday racing, which is a little different but won’t make any difference once we are there at the track, so I’m excited to get there and get going!
