Tim Gajser is at a great level and today once again took an important step towards his desire to become MXGP world champion again, after managing to win both races in the category in Frauenfeld.

In the first, the Honda rider finished with an advantage of 14.525s over Jeffrey Herlings (KTM), second, while the current champion – Jorge Prado (GASGAS) – took third place. Jeremy Seewer was the best Kawasaki on the track, in fourth, while Maxime Renaux was the reference among the Yamahas, in fifth.

A new triumph then followed in the second race with the top three remaining unchanged. Herlings was second again but now with a shorter distance, 6.943s, while Prado crossed the finish line more than 16s behind in #243.

The Kawasaki duo followed soon after, with Romain Febvre taking fourth, ahead of Seewer.

With 50 points added Gajser gained a greater distance over Prado, third in the GP with 40 points added, four less than second, Herlings.

So Gajser is more in the lead in the world and now has 860 points, 18 more than Prado (842) and 42 more than Herlings, third.
