The calendar for this year’s World Supercross Championship has been announced. The season will consist of four rounds, running from October to December, with none of the events taking place in Europe – and two of the rounds being held in the same country.
The season kicks off in Vancouver, Canada, on October 26. About a month later, there will be two rounds in Perth, Australia, on November 23 and 24. The final round will take place on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, on December 4.
Last year, Ken Roczen claimed the championship in the premier 450 category. Riding a Suzuki, he accumulated 193 points, outperforming Joey Savatgy, who scored 176 points. In the 250 category, Max Anstie won the title with 216 points, ahead of Shane McElrath, who finished with 140 points.
Andy Edwards, CEO of SX Global, stated in a press release: ‘When the FIM World Supercross Championship set out on its pilot season in 2022, it held a bold vision for the future. The goal was to take Supercross to an international level by bringing it to an engaged yet underserved global audience, while vying to identify and gain a foothold in new regions and markets with previously untapped potential. With races in Vancouver, Perth and Abu Dhabi, our 2024 season builds upon this promise but only represents the tip of what we want to achieve with WSX in the long term. From the FIM side, Antonio Alía, Director of the Motocross Commission, commented: ‘A promising brand-new WSX season is looming on the horizon with SX Global to run the championship across the globe. In 2024, two-time World Champion, Ken Roczen, will defend his title in a four-event season that will lay the foundations for the coming years. The FIM/CMS will be offering its undivided support and will be a pillar to build strong and consistent World Supercross Championships in future’.

- October 26: World Supercross Canadian GP (BC Place/Vancouver, Canada)
- November 23: World Supercross Australian GP (HBF Park/Perth, Australia)
- November 24: World Supercross Australian GP (HBF Park/Perth, Australia)
- December 4: World Supercross Abu Dhabi GP (Etihad Arena/Yas Island, Abu Dhabi – United Arab Emirates)
