After competing on KTM and Aprilia bikes in MotoGP, Miguel Oliveira is now set to experience an inline four-cylinder engine for the first time with Yamaha.

The Portuguese rider had his first contact with this power unit during Tuesday’s test in Barcelona. Naturally, he was asked about his impressions

The rider, who will compete for Prima Pramac Yamaha in 2025, stated: ‘It has positives, and it has some things that need to be improved’.

It is worth noting that Yamaha is currently developing a new V4 engine, following the concept adopted by other manufacturers in MotoGP. However, there is no set date yet for its introduction in races.
