Without any break, the MotoGP World Championship continues this weekend with the San Marino GP. This will be the first of two rounds at Misano, and in this case, it marks the final race of the MotoE season where the champion will be crowned.

In MotoGP, Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) has finished second in the last three rounds but currently leads the championship by 23 points over Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati). Racing on home soil, Bagnaia is looking to bounce back after a crash in the Aragón GP, where he was not at fault.

Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati) sits third in the standings and arrives at Misano with extra motivation after dominating at MotorLand. He aims to maintain his place in the top three of the standings, though Enea Bastianini (Ducati), who knows the Misano circuit well, will be chasing him down.

After a strong performance in Aragon hindered by a crash, Miguel Oliveira (Trackhouse Racing) will be looking to keep up his momentum, while the other Aprilia riders aim to get back to their best form. There’s also curiosity around whether KTM’s resurgence and Pedro Acosta’s impressive performances will continue.

In Moto2, Sergio García (MT Helmets-MSi/Boscoscuro) defends his championship lead, with 12 points separating him from his teammate Ai Ogura. Alonso López (SpeedUp/Boscoscuro) is closing in, as is Jake Dixon (CFMoto Aspar/Kalex), who has won two of the last four races and climbed to fourth in the standings despite only scoring his first points in the sixth round of the year.

As for Moto3, David Alonso (CFMoto Aspar) has been consistent all season, finishing in the top five since the French GP. He is the clear favorite to win at Misano, holding a 75-point lead over Collin Veijer (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP), and if he continues like this, he could soon start calculating when he might clinch the title. Last GP’s winner, José Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo), comes to Misano with the extra motivation of having secured his first-ever world championship win.

In MotoE, the season will conclude with a double round. Héctor Garzó (Dynavolt Intact GP) leads with a 38-point advantage over Mattia Casadei (LCR E-Team), meaning he could even afford to lose 12 points in the first race and still secure the title. It will be tough to beat the Spaniard. Kevin Zannoni (Openbank Aspar) and Oscar Gutiérrez (Axxis-MSi) are also in contention, though Gutiérrez would need to win both races and hope Garzó scores no points.
